Sensus Water Company began over 120 years ago, when Willard F. Rockwell and his family purchased the company.

In 1953, the Rockwell Manufacturing Company doors were opened and they began to manufacture Tropic, Empire and Arctic positive displacement meters, turbine meters and single register compound meter.

After more than 5 million dollars in development and testing, in 1957, the SR meter was placed on the market. Over 40 million units have been sold to date.

In the 1960's, the Turbine meter selection was developed, and that was followed by Remote Meter Reading in the 1970's. Then in the mid 1980's, the TouchRead was introduced.

Today, sensus is arguably the largest water flow meter manufacturer in the world.

Senus Automatic Meter Reading System- is one of the most well developed products in the meter industry.

The registers are available on various configurations including meter pits and factory sealed.

Sensus SR Residential water meters- meter sizes ranging from 5/8" to 2". They come complete with tamperproof seals and bronze main case.

All meters have been tested and meet AWWA standard for residential meters.
